From the earliest planning stages through to final completion, we acted as the Client Representative, overseeing every aspect of the project and ensuring the client's objectives were achieved. We served as the central point of coordination between the client, consultants, contractors and specialist suppliers, maintaining programme, quality and budget while protecting the client's interests throughout the refurbishment.
Entrusted with day-to-day decision-making authority, we enabled the project to progress efficiently while keeping the client fully informed through detailed weekly reports covering progress, financial updates, procurement and key project milestones.
Scope of Responsibilities
As Client Representative, our responsibilities included:
- Representing the client throughout the entire refurbishment.
- Acting as the client's trusted representative and primary point of contact.
- Making day-to-day decisions on behalf of the client to maintain project momentum.
- Providing comprehensive weekly reports covering programme, budget, procurement and project risks.
- Coordinating all communication between Harrods Interiors, the main contractor, consultants and specialist suppliers.
- Reviewing and approving contractor valuations, invoices and payment applications before submission to the client.
- Monitoring workmanship, construction quality and project progress through regular site attendance.
- Coordinating procurement, specialist installations and final commissioning.
- Liaising with the building management company, neighbouring properties and statutory authorities where required.
- Resolving technical and logistical issues to ensure smooth project delivery.
